I am pleased to announce that whilst I have decided to take a break from the arts and crafts workshops this year, I am still going ahead with a couple of other courses that were already in the pipeline.
First up at the end of February on Saturday 25th February Ian Marshall is returning to teach Basic Gun Dog Skills. The morning session kicks off at 9.30 and concludes at around 1pm with a bowl of heart warming soup. The cost of the excellent and enlightening session is £35 and includes a starter training kit for you to take home. This is the third or fourth workshop that Ian has run and each time he achieves some really excellent results with dog and owner really beginning to work in harmony. Numbers are limited, so if you are interested then please call Debbie Skinner on 07890 917325.
On Saturday 12th May Steven Perkins is making a much welcomed return with his french polishing and furniture restoration workshop. The day starts at 10am, and concludes at 4pm and includes a home made lunch as well as additional refreshments throughout the day. Steven will share the techniques he uses to restore and polish furniture. The last session was fantastic and everyone went away with some fabulous results. All you are asked to bring is a small piece of furniture that can easily fit into a car that needs some attention, please bring old clothes and latex or rubber gloves. The cost of this workshop is £60 per person.
Art in the Box is back and gets underway with a charity champagne preview on Friday 29th June 6.30 - 8.30pm. Tickets cost £10 and are available from Debbie Skinner, nearer the time. Art in the Box will run from Saturday 30th June through to Saturday 7th July inclusive and will be open daily from 2pm - 6pm. Last year, over 30 artists exhibited their work in our stables that were converted into miniature art galleries for one week only. It proved to be so popular that we had to host a repeat performance for 2012.
