Life on the farm really is not the same without livestock, so a trip to a nearby rare breed enthusiast resulted in us buying some greyface dartmoor sheep – which are truly delightful. Not only have they got fabulous fleeces, but they have scrumptious black noses and a wonderful permanent smile. Although they are quite large in stature they are surprisingly docile!
When you have just two sheep on a farm, they clearly have to have names, so the ones grazing in our paddock at the back of the farm we have called Hyacinth and Hazel. For more information about these delightful animals please visit www.greyface-dartmoor.org.uk/news.html .
